Greetings
I am wondering where to spend the Dia de los Muertos this year. I noticed in the photos section that Tuscon has a parade. I heard that LA also has quite a celebration. I have never had a chance to partake and I would like some input please.
Thanks
Kaya

There are quite a few in LA. I went to the one in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and loved every minute. A TON of altars, music dancing and the fun odd and obscure tombstones. There were also a ton of people there. Which didn't bother me...I actually liked the feel in there with all those people, it felt, well, like anything but Los Angeles.
The altars ranged from traditional to "modern" There is a big one for the Ramones (for some reason that one makes me giggle.)

Tucsons celebration lasts about a week, cuminating in one of the Largest processions in the US... over 6 thousand last year. Its is quiet the festival wih mny smaller events all week that lead up to the Procession on Sunday night. Many come from all over the US to participate every year, Its definatley worth checking out.
