Hey everyone, I just met this dude last night and we were talking about random stuff and got onto the topic of his traveling around Mexico and stuff, and I asked him about the events in the different areas and asked which was the "best" in his opinion, in terms of the whole concept of the celebration adn everythng, and he said there was a group of islands somewhere [lake??] where the indiginous people still lived, no hotels and the like, and that they celebrated with the most vigor and excitement and stuff... He also said there was a town outside of it that one would stop at to take a ferry to these islands...

Does anyone know the names of either of these places??

forgot ...one more thing make sure you know what graveyards to go to on what nights!!!some places like in veracuz mex. might have dead drag queens in the graveyards, but not in small villages like the one in oaxaca,,, also the tables for the dead... maybe very diffrent from one place to the next... with the north having more usa type monsters and such... have fun. but talk to the people about the dead familys if you go on those days, it is sad when you see white folks snapping photos of some one at a grave and the tourist wont even ask to take a photo much less ask about the dead one visting... it great time to vist and party with the dead...if you know where your going...
