I would like to find out how to get some of the figures for my home, but don't know where to look. Any suggestions?

It's true! Paper maché and tempera paint. You are a valid participant.

If u cant make them, or just wanna start collecting them do a search on Ebay or go to Tijuana or Cabo..... Paper mache, clay and tin are all traditional. good luck.

There are stores called "world trade" that have them.
You can make them out of Fimo too.

If you're in SW Washington, there are a couple places in the Hawthorn district of Portland. The Gold Door and Gifts from Many Lands (not the right name), both sell calacas.

if you're in NW, then Seattle must have what you need. Google tells me there's a place named Milagros at Pike Place Market.

Another option is to buy on-line.

The seller, on ebay, "tabbiekat22" posts mini altars with hand crafted skeletons. There is nothing for sale at the moment, but I follow it, and more are sure to come up for auction. I currently own 3.
